About Us - DigiTimber

DigiTimber is a managed IT services and hosting provider headquartered in Spokane, Washington. We work with small and mid-sized businesses that depend on their technology to operate reliably, securely, and predictably - and who want a long-term partner to manage it that way.

We are not a large national MSP where you become a ticket number, and we are not a one-person shop held together with good intentions. We are a focused, engineering-driven team with the depth to handle real infrastructure and the attention to actually know your environment.

What We Bring to the Table

Our track record speaks to what we are capable of. These are not projections or estimates. They reflect years of active work across real business environments.

  • 26+ years of experience in systems engineering, network infrastructure, and managed IT
  • 300+ endpoints actively managed across businesses of all sizes
  • 100+ employees supported across our current client base
  • 1,500+ websites hosted and maintained over the life of the company
  • 1,000+ hosting accounts managed across many industries
  • 99.9999% uptime across critical hosting and infrastructure environments

Our largest current managed IT client runs over 50 endpoints and more than 40 employees. We have the processes, monitoring, and depth of experience to support organizations at that scale and beyond - including businesses up to 100 employees where clear SLAs and expectations are in place.

How We Got Here

DigiTimber started as a web and email hosting provider serving local businesses in the Spokane area. Over time, those relationships grew. Hosting customers needed more than a place to put their website. They needed someone to manage their servers, support their teams, and keep their systems running day to day.

That evolution shaped who we are today. We moved from reactive support toward a disciplined managed IT model because we saw firsthand what happens when infrastructure is left unmanaged: configuration drift, missed patches, undocumented changes, and outages that could have been prevented. The managed IT approach is not just a service offering for us - it reflects how we believe IT should be run.

We remain Spokane-based and community-rooted, and we still serve many of the local businesses we started with. But our capabilities and our client base have grown well beyond the region. We support organizations across the country and take on engagements wherever the right fit exists.

About the Owner - Russ Lohman

DigiTimber is owned and operated by Russ Lohman, a systems engineer and infrastructure professional with more than 26 years of experience in hosting operations, network engineering, and managed IT services. Russ founded the company and remains directly involved in the infrastructure, the tooling, and the day-to-day reality of keeping client systems running.

His background spans enterprise networks, university datacenters, cloud environments, and long-term MSP relationships with businesses that depend on their technology every day. That experience informs every decision made at DigiTimber, from how systems are configured at the start of an engagement to how incidents are handled when something goes wrong.

Russ's approach is straightforward: understand how things work under the hood, trace issues to their root causes, and build solutions that are stable and maintainable over time. Not quick fixes that look clever but fail under pressure. Systems that behave predictably and support the people who rely on them.

"If you need to contact or interact with your IT person or department, they aren't doing their jobs. My goal is to build systems that stay out of the way, support the people who maintain them, and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes."

Russ Lohman, Founder, DigiTimber

When you work with DigiTimber, you are not handed off to a support queue staffed by people who have never seen your environment. You are working with engineers who know your systems, and with an owner who takes personal accountability for the quality of that work.

How We Work

We treat IT infrastructure as an ongoing operational responsibility, not a one-time project. That means consistent monitoring, deliberate change control, thorough documentation, and support that is backed by real familiarity with your environment.

We work best with organizations that want their IT managed with structure and long-term thinking, not patched together reactively and revisited only when something breaks. Our clients tend to value stability, clear ownership, and a partner who will still be around in five years.

We are direct communicators. When something needs attention, we say so. When something is in good shape, we say that too. We avoid jargon, vague promises, and recommendations that serve us more than they serve you.

Who We Work With

Our managed IT and hosting services are built for small and mid-sized businesses - typically organizations with 10 to 100 employees - that depend on their systems to function reliably and want a consistent, accountable partner to manage them.

We are a strong fit for:

  • Businesses that need reliable, well-managed IT without maintaining a full internal team
  • Organizations with existing IT staff that need supplemental expertise or stronger operational processes
  • Multi-site or distributed teams that benefit from standardized, centrally managed environments
  • Companies that have outgrown reactive or ad hoc IT support and want something more structured
  • Businesses that prefer long-term relationships over transactional support

We are headquartered in Spokane and proud to support the local business community here. We also serve organizations regionally and nationwide where the right engagement and expectations are in place.
